Join our guided Trail Blazer walk on Saturday, June 7 at 8:30 am when we explore the Johnson Ferry North trail with our guide, Jack Misiura, Chair of the Sandy Springs Conservancy.
The Johnson Ferry North trail, part of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, is on the Cobb County side of the river just after Johnson Ferry Rd crosses over the river on the right. The 1.8 mile beginner-friendly trail goes through hardwood forest, catches beautiful river views, visits a small waterfall and large cave outcropping, and explores a marshy, wildflower-filled wetland.
We’ll meet in the parking lot on the northeast side of Johnson Ferry Rd and the Chattahoochee River. The trail is natural and not paved. Wear good walking shoes. Bring bug spray and hats if desired. National Park Service daily parking pass is $5. Passes are available online or onsite, credit card required. Registration is required and space is limited.
