River Cleanup at Morgan Falls a Great Success!

The 6th Annual River Cleanup at Morgan Falls was a great success!  Even with drenching rain, more than 80 volunteers came out to paddle the river and bring in hundreds of pounds of trash.  Our hearty volunteers included 40 boy scouts from two local troops.  The best finds?  Three  “usable”  baskeballs. The strangest thing plucked out of the river?  A coconut!   Our most interesting volunteer?  Katherine Feeman’s  dog, a weimaraner that swam alongside her canoe the whole morning!

Thanks to all our volunteers and to Georgia Power who provided the canoes, safety equipment and a great lunch.
